Accident auto minor soldat cu victima

Main Post:

Multumesc!

Those of you guys who got into car accidents before..how did you cope?

Main Post:

The sound of metal clashing legit scares me

Top Comment: Sometimes you never get over it. About 40 years ago, I was in fast lane of freeway at night in rain. All of a sudden, there’s a brown car, sideways, abandoned in my lane. No lights on it. I saw it in time to stop and guy behind me saw and stopped but guy behind him didn’t and hit us all. I saw car in mirror coming but couldn’t do anything. To this day, if I’m on a dark road, I’m afraid there is something in lane ahead of me. I always try to drive behind others so I’m not first again. You always carry the fear with you but you don’t let it define you.

Just how common is it for the average American to get into a car accident?

Main Post:

I know outside of a few cities the US is very car centered, does that mean the average American gets into more car accidents on average? Or how often would you say you or someone you know gets into an accident?

Top Comment: You’re asking about statistics, so Google would be able to answer this better than any of us.

What do you do when you get in a car accident?

Main Post:

Say you’ve been hit or you’ve hit someone. Not to the point where a person needs to go hospital but just physical damage to both cars. What is the process? I want to be aware as I’ve recently passed.

Thank you.

Top Comment: First be very careful, as people can be crazy when it comes to a fenderbender like that. Be calm and civil, but DO NOT admit fault. If the other person doesn't run, just exchange insurance info, and report to police and insurance. It's not super complicated, unless the other person is bat crap crazy coming out of the other car. Edit: a word

Top Comment: It’s been many years but something very very similar happened to me in my early 20s. Bumps and bruises, seat belt burns, but nothing serious. I was freaked out and afraid to drive for a bit. But I had to get to work and back home somehow. My mom was kind enough to drive me for a few days but I knew it wasn’t going to be for long. I just steeled myself to do it, took it slow, looked both ways at traffic lights even on the green (and still do). And gradually it was okay. Maybe took a few weeks. I have always loved driving, but those few weeks were tough. Hang in there, get back on the horse and you’ll feel better eventually.

Have you ever caused a car crash?

Main Post:

They’re relatively common and over the course of decades, I assume it’s a likely experience.

What are some everday higher risk things one can avoid to decrease their chance of accidents?

Main Post:

After seeing many accident videos, I have come to realize that some things are more dangerous than others. For example, being the first in a traffic light and going quickly at green is more dangerous than being third in line or waiting a few seconds (or even better, being on the right lane and using the left car as a shield against red-light runners). What other habits can one develop to decrease their odds of accidents?

Top Comment: Honestly there’d be less accidents if people just started actually PAYING ATTENTION.
